Edward F. Glassmeyer, Managing Partner, co-founded Oak Investment Partners with Stewart Greenfield in 1978. Ed concentrates in Information Technology with a focus on Cloud and Enterprise Software and Services companies and is active in the broadband networking sector.
Ed has led investments in and/or served on the Boards of IT service companies CBORD Group (acquired by Roper Industries), Cloud Technologies Partners (acquired by Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company), Mobius Management (acquired by AGS Content Management), and Credit Card software company Paysys (acquired by First Data). Telcom companies include Telica (acquired by Lucent), Bellcore spinout Tellium (acquired by Zhone Technologies), and Cogent Communications (NASD: CCOI). Also, Aavid Termalloy (NASD:AATT) since taken private, and Seagate (NASD: STX ).
Ed started his career at Citicorp Venture Capital and later became Managing Partner of The Sprout Group at DLJ (Donaldson, Lufkin, & Jenrette). Ed graduated from Princeton University, served as an officer in the Marine Corps, and received his MBA with distinction from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College, where he was a board member for 20 years. Ed was a founding Director of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), and received their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005.
