Grace A. Ames, General Partner and Chief Operating Officer, joined Oak in 1999 as Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to Oak, Grace’s senior management career in the financial industry spanned portfolio management, brokerage, trading analytics, cash management, and global custody. At the outset of her financial career, Grace developed and managed the non-dollar and derivative product trading operations for Harvard Management Company (“HMC”) in Boston. From HMC, Grace was recruited to be Vice President at Barclay Investments, Inc. in Providence then New York City, where her contributions included trade analysis, systems development, cash management, and operations management. Grace returned to Boston to join Brown Brothers Harriman’s global custody operation as manager of the Treasury Department.
Just prior to joining Oak, Grace served as CFO of New Bond Trading, Inc., an investment manager of a group of complex offshore, multicurrency, fixed income hedge funds. Grace received her BA degree in Government from Smith College.
